It’s been awhile!!!

Well it’s been a long time since my last post but i plan to get back on track this month and plan to post on a regular basis in 2009.

My camera mysteriously disappeared so i am in the market for a new one and should have it within the next week, so that means no new pictures for you all in this posting.

Over the last few months i jumped feet first into a great new hobby (Off-Road RC Racing) and i love it, needless to say i am still learning about everything and believe me there is allot to learn. I just bought a new Buggy to race this spring and summer on the outdoor tracks, my problem now is that i have this great new hobby it will definitely cut into my Harley riding time.

Oh well, i will have to balance all my time the best i can.

I will hopefully have some new pictures to post in the coming weeks once i get my new Camera, so until then i hope everyone is having a good Spring.

Winter is here.

We have snow on the ground today so i guess this is officially the end of the 2008 Motorcycle riding season. Overall we had a very good riding season and visited some new places on our East coast adventure back in July.

Now we start to plan for next year and ponder where we should go explore. Hopefully we don’t get a brutal winter and Spring can arrive early. I will be attending some motorcycle shows this winter and i will post some photos after i get back from the events. Bundle up and and let’s do our best to get threw the shitty winter season.

New Stuff

Well it’s been a while since my last post so i figured i should post up an update. It’s that time of year where not much is going on other then work, the Bikes are pretty much put away for the season and the Snow is just around the corner.

I have been busy in the last few weeks updating my Home Theater setup, sold allot of my old stuff(TV, Receiver and Speakers). I purchased a new 50″ Plasma that i wall mounted and i must say i love this new setup. The new Receiver is a Denon with HDMI and HD audio format decoding, I also purchased new speakers (Paridigm) they sound awesome. The last piece i added was a new Playatation3 that i use for Blue Ray movies and a streaming media server. Overall i am really happy with the new system and this will serve me well for at least 5 years or more.

Everyone is healthy and happy so what more can i ask for. Elaine has been working lots since she started a new part-time job for the winter and i plan to do the same if i can find something in Bolton that i would enjoy doing. Until next time probably sometime in December, take care.

I am an Uncle again !!!

On Friday August 15th, only 2 days after my birthday my sister gave birth to a very cute baby boy. His name is Gabriel. The first thing i bought for him was a little Harley Davidson hat and booties. I can’t wait to spend more time with him.

Everyone is healthy and happy so what more can i ask for.

I will post pictures when i get a chance to take more, hopefully on the weekend.

Vacation 2008

Vacation_08.jpg

Just got back home from a really nice holiday, Elaine and I packed up the bikes and took off for a 2 week trip to NB. We rode to NB via the states and the scenery in Lake Placid, New Hampshire and Maine was really great. We stopped in Maine for a nice Lobster roll (we love Lobster), we only had about one hour of rain on the way to NB.

We spent most of our time in Grand Falls, visiting with family and friends. It was really nice to get away from the rat race for a few weeks, the lifestyle in NB is much more laid back and someday Elaine and i would love to return to stay. Overall it was a great time and a great adventure, the GPS was a great addition to have on this trip.

I guess now we need to get started on the planning of the next trip, it can’t come soon enough.

Sad Weekend

It’s been quite the weekend, i did not get out for a ride cause the weather was unpredictable and lord knows i could have used a ride. on Friday morning i got some sad news from my home town of Grand Falls. My friend Danny who is recovering from a heart attack now was dealt another blow, his 13 year old daughter was swimming with some friends in a dangerous area of the St-John river and was swept away by the strong current. They are still searching for her but hope is starting to fade. If miracles do happen i sure hope my friend gets one now.

Saturday i was told that another close friend’s dad is in hospital after suffering a stroke, it does not look good so far but i really hope he pulls threw, he was just recently retired looking forward to enjoying life. You never know what can happen so take nothing for granted. To my friends the McEvoy’s i am thinking of you.

Sunday after a weekend of bad news Elaine and I went to visit my sisters family and spending the afternoon with Mackayla my niece was just what i needed, she is growing fast and i always have so much fun spending time with her. I posted some pictures of our afternoon. To my friends that are going threw a tough time i am sending a prayer your way.

Port Dover Rally, June 2008

This Friday Elaine and I joined some friends for this years only Friday the 13th (Port Dover Motorcycle Rally). We had a blast, so many people and so many cool bikes. This year was a record for the amount of bikes in Dover so i guess we where part of the Dover history books.

Sunday we rode to Guelph, Ontario to visit with Elaine’s sister and her family, It was a great afternoon but the ride home was pretty intense, we got stuck in a major rain storm, we had our rain gear so i guess it could have been worst. Our first ride in the rain this year, it served to get us ready for our trip to the East Coast. We leave Ontario on July 11th :)

This past weekend Elaine and I did some work around the house but we also did some great riding. Spring is in full bloom and the weather on the weekend was great. Saturday afternoon we ventured east to Oshawa and visited Mackie Harley Davidson, we did not buy anything but Elaine did see a new Street Glide that she liked.

Sunday we took a ride to Barrie, the Harley Dealer was having demo rides and BBQ. We saw lots of pretty cool bikes and people, after having a quick lunch we made our way up north to Midland Ontario. There are some very nice roads in the area and we explored many of them with pleasure. Overall a pretty productive weekend of house work and riding.

Visiting with Family

This past weekend Elaine and I visited my Sister and her family in Burlington. Mackayla my niece is growing fast and i always love spending time with her, she is learning very quickly, she will be teaching us stuff in no time.

Winter is still with us in a big way, we still have another 6 or 7 weeks before we can get the bikes ready for their first rides of 2008. I am looking at some cool mods for my bike and should have everything ready for spring. Hopefully the Canadian dollar keeps it’s value cause most of my parts are coming from the USA.

Elaine and I also updated all our computers and i got a nice new laptop for work so our tech needs have been met for another few years lets hope.
